Our Team
Frank P. Iuorno, Jr., DDS, MS
Our Doctor
● Dr. Iuorno earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science degree in 1990 from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, close to where he grew up. He received his DDS from the University of North Carolina ta Chapel Hill in 1994 and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
● After dental school, Dr. Iuorno completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. He moved to Richmond in 1995 and completed a unique combination of residencies at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning certification in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2000) and Orthodontics (2002), making him uniquely qualified to treat complex cases. He received his Master of Science degree in 2002.
● Dr. Iuorno holds many leadership positions within organized dentistry having been president of the Richmond Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. He is a member of the Board of the Virginia Health Catalyst, and has served in leadership on the national level with the American Dental Association. Our doctor is also a member of several dental honor societies including Omnicron Kappa Upsilon, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of General Dentistry.
● If you look up our Doctor on the internet, you may find his brother, Joe or his wife, Maria. Dr. Maria Iuorno is an endocrinologist with Virginia Endocrinology and his brother, Dr. Joe Iuorno, practices ophthalmology at Commonwealth Eye Care Associates.
Marty
Office Manager & Insurance Coordinator
Marty is one of WEO’s finest assets. She is the office manager and our insurance coordinator. She is also an orthodontic assistant! Her sparkling personality and warm smile are always remembered as people often ask for her by name years after treatment. Come visit and Marty will be there. In fact, she has been with the practice since our opening day in 2002!
Lisa
Scheduling & Billing Coordinator
Lisa seems to be well-known throughout the West End! She came back to work after raising two boys and we are delighted that she chose to come to work for us. Lisa shares time with Nanette at the front desk so you’re sure to get to know her throughout treatment. Ask about her Pennsylvania roots and it’s likely that you’ll come up with a mutual friend soon enough.
Nanette
Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
It’s always nice to have a reliably friendly voice on the other end of the phone or across the counter, and Nanette never disappoints. Nanette has had several years of experience in dental and medical practices throughout Virginia. She is always courteous and truly enjoys her time here at WEO. We are lucky to have her help, and look forward to each day she’s with us.
Megan
Clinical Assistant & Office Systems Manager
Megan came to us straight from her training program in dental assisting. Megan brings with her a hospitable smile and a nurturing disposition that makes her a perfect fit for the WEO team. Outside of work, Megan enjoys country music, singing, hunting and church activities. She and her husband have one son and love life on the farm.
Andrea
Orthodontic Assistant, Lab & Appliance Coordinator
Our newest addition, Andrea, is actually Megan’s younger sister. She joined our team when Stacy went out on maternity leave and loved the office and work environment. We loved having her so much that we’re sending her back to school to receive more formal training and look forward to the day she comes back full-time as an orthodontic assistant.
